How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him who brings good news, who publishes peace, who brings good news of happiness, who publishes salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns.”

R.C. Sproul once famously said that there are “no maverick molecules” in Creation, that all things are under the command of God.
Consider the story of Joseph. Long before Joseph was born, the Lord vowed to bring the sons of Abraham out of Egypt. Then Abraham’s grandson Jacob showed favoritism to his son Joseph, which led his brothers to sell him into slavery and ultimately ending with him as the highest authority in Egypt other than Pharaoh. He then was able to rescue his family from famine, and that led - hundreds of years later - to God rescuing the Israelites out of Egypt.
When Joseph told his brothers that “it was not you who sent me here, but God” he rightly understood that God was working behind the scenes, using wickedness for good, in order to accomplish His purposes.
When things are hard and life seems grim, trust in the Lord. He is working for your good, whether in sanctification or in pursuing His purposes for your life or the lives of others. We serve and worship a good God who has promised to always work for our good.
He can do nothing else!
